General Site Rules.
Posting.
There is to be no spamming of threads. By this, I mean that if you post something in a topic-thread, it needs to be relevant to the thread's subject or current discussion.
There is no double-posting or necro-posting rule here, but it would be preferable that you edit your last post if you want to add something, to keep the forums tidy.
If you're posting pictures or diagrams in your posts for whatever reason, please make sure that the picture isn't so wide that it stretches your (and others) posts. Keep image-sizes smallish.
Avatars and signatures.
Keep them of a reasonable size, (avatars no larger than 100x100 pixels). Nothing obscene. No porn or whatever. No links to porn or any other such sites.
Language.
Swear if you want. We really don't care, but do try and be polite and observe proper netiquitte. No flaming or bashing (of race, country, size of penis, whatever!...)
If you're going to post, then there is to be NO leet-speak or shorthand typing of any kind. Please, keep it readable!
For those of you who don't know what leet-speak is...
+|-|1$ i$ l337 $q3@k. As you can see, it's fucking hard to read and seriously - It doesn't make you look smart, guys. Don't do it.
And if you don't know what shorthand typing is, shorthand typing is when u decide that u r 2 lazy 2 rite stuff properly, and so, substitute letters 4 numbers and vice versa. It's just as bad as leet-speak, so don't do it...please. Just do us all a favour and type properly.
I mean properly. If you can't capitalise and punctuate, spell and write grammatically sound sentences, then you cannot play. This may seem harsh, but have you ever tried reading an entire page of text with absolutely no spelling, grammar and punctuation? It's NOT easy. If you can't write proper English you cannot play, because it jams up the game when people can't decipher what you're writing.
I expect everyone here of advanced high-school age or higher to have this level of English-writing skill.
It goes without saying that English is the only language acceptable here.
Conflicts.
Every forum on earth has members fighting with other members. If we didn't fight, Martians would think we were weirder than they are. Here's the deal:
If you do have a conflict or argument with another member -
1. Try and resolve it between yourselves.
2. Keep it to PMs (private-messages), if you can.
3. If a member insults or says other things you don't like to you, you can report their post by sending a PM to the admin with a link to the topic. The admins will deal with it.
4. If you really can't do anything about it, let me, (Shangas), or one of the other admins know. We'll deal with it.
5. If you do start a multiple-PM argument with another member, don't throw away (ie - delete), those messages. Admin might want to read them to see what's going on.
Disciplinary measures.
Generally, we're very laid back here. The staff won't do much, really. But that doesn't mean that we don't look after this joint. Members caught doing naughty stuff will be dealt with. A ban is a last resort as a punishment.
